Miracles Don't Come MANufactured

Updated: Apr 30, 2023

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Proverbs 16:9 We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.

If you want to see the world's fastest racecar drivers, you'd probably go to a NASCAR event. You might not meet one of the drivers, but you could stumble upon a great mechanic that shares your same interests. Maybe, you've studied for your finals and knew the information for an exam-- but you still didn't make the right score. However, now you have stronger studying stamina, and you're equipped for future tests. Or maybe you quit your job in hopes of relocating and starting life over in a new place. Let's say it doesn't go so well and you're right back where you started.

Many times we can lose focus by not zooming in on the "bigger picture".

Can it be true that we often look for God in the form of a miracle or a blessing, and we overlook God's intended blessings when we think we haven't received the miracle we're searching for. In essence, you might have already received something significant while looking elsewhere for your answer.

When we want God to move in our lives we expect Him to perform our perception of the blessings we want. We oftentimes come to God with open hands-- but not open hearts. God takes situations to teach us and equip us for His plans and purposes. His desired plan supersedes any miraculous outcome we can ever imagine. God's miracles and blessings are not MAN-ufactured. Man cannot factor the things God has in store for His children. For, His thoughts are higher and sovereign over ours. God does not give out build-a-blessings. He chooses His divine methodology and we can trust and submit to His will. Just because our prayers are not answered in our way, that doesn't mean we've missed the hand of God in our lives.

So, even if you don't receive healing in your body immediately-- God could give you a deeper sense of hope and reliance upon Him for the care that you need. If you find yourself expectantly waiting for a result that could change a situation in your life-- know that in spite of your outcome you are developing the fruits of patience and hope in your Spirit. And again, even if you don't land your dream job in a big new city; trust that God is redirecting your steps for something more meaningful. With every outcome in life we can trust God is able to redeem our personal plan for His purposeful plans.
